Unattended ontape restore script

Running IDS
9.20HC3 on 2 HP-UX 11.11 boxes.
I'm attempting to create a shell script that I can invoke to perform a restore
on our dev box using the Level 0 backup from our production box. We have a
cron script running the backup just fine, but it seems that ontape -r doesn't
like to be scripted.
My script looks like this so far:
--
#!/bin/sh
export INFORMIXSERVER=online1shm
export INFORMIXDIR=/usr/informix
export ONCONFIG=onconfig.rt
/usr/informix/bin/ontape -r << EOF
y
n
EOF
--
If I run ontape -r interactively, it works just fine. When I run my script, it
hangs in fast recovery mode w/ a blocked checkpoint.
Any Ideas?
TIA.
