RE: How to change DBID

What version of SAP are you using? I had to do a similar procedure, and
I used the unsupported DBCopy method. I believe the method you chose is
also unsupported, you can check OSS note # 89698. The problems you have
is that since there is a PRD on the network, you cannot bring up another
SAP system with the same SID. Have you renamed the DB to TST??

} I have transfered an Informix 7.21 database from one to another
} (SAP on Solaris) system using an ontape archive. The problem I

} and the 'old' systems DBID was 'tst'. When SAP tries to connect
} to the system using DBID=prd it fails. If I try to connect as
} DBID=tst the connection is made but screws up everything else.
} Is there a way to change the DBID inside the db?
} Thanks in advance.
