Arrow keys in SQL.

For: Yngvi Thor Sigurjonsson, University of Iceland Yngvi, You asked about arrow key problems using the SQL editor, the biggest problem we have had has been with our network using new PC/TCP Ethernet cards installed in our personal computers. These boards allow us to connect thru our RF Ethernet LAN System to the minicomputer system. The PC/TCP boards would not permit using the arrow keys in any of our software until I modified our "termcap" files for these boards. Try using the termcap file provided with your Informix SQL software. If you are using several software programs, each with thier own termcap, you may have conflicting termcap variables crashing into each other as you call up different programs. All termcaps should be the same to maintain system compatability between programs. (It seems as each software program is invoked it calls for it's own version of termcap, regardless of what was called for when you logged into your system.) Good Luck, termcap modification is not fun. Michael S.
