Um, I demur to mention it but, um, are you perhaps trying to lift the rug
on which you stand? If you, for example, do:
dbaccess mydatabase -
Database selected.
> drop database mydatabase;
359: Cannot drop or rename current database.
Error in line 1Near character position 24

You must:

> drop database mydatabase;Database dropped.

I know it's obvious but hey... You do not stat ANY details, like error
number, what front-end tool you are trying to use to drop the database,
server type (SE, IDS, XPS, UDO), versions, etc so this only answer we have
sufficient information to return. Post the items above along with the
database's sysmaster:sysdatabases record printout and onstat -k output and
we'll see what else we can come up with.
