Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I am trying to execute a system command from a stored procedure. It
works fine when executed by user informix. All other users receive a
-668 error (system command cannot be executed) from Informix, with a -1
error (not owner) from AIX. I've made sure that if I'm manipulating
files, the permissions are OK.
The system command always fails no matter what I place in "" ie,
SYSTEM "id>/tmp/id.out" ;
SYSTEM "cp /tmp/a /tmp/b" ;
SYSTEM "cp $HOME/a $HOME/b" ;
I'm running Online 7.12 on AIX v4.1.5.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
