Problems with "fgl_lastkey"

Informix-4gl 4.10 has a new library function 'fgl_lastkey' to return the last user keystroke. In an input-stmt, after a autonext-field, this function allways returns 2018 (autonext-key?), regardless of the real last user keystroke. If anyone knows how to get the real user keystroke, please let me know.
