rs/6000 application

The company I work for is going to provide an online service on the RS/6000. Initially, we'll have a few dozen sites with an average of 5 user to a maximum of 16 users per site. We'll use the DigiBoard CX/System controller and a combination of leased analog and digital data circuits. The users will have ASCII terminals and printers. Ultimately, the system is projected to grow to 500+ users at 100+ sites. We're starting with an RS/6000 Model 560, but anticipate that we'll need bigger/faster systems on a network. Thus the question -- I am very interested to know if anyone else has put a large number of terminal users on the RS/6000. My IBM rep told me about "large" systems with 50+ users.
