I have ISQL. If I were you I would try to persuade my masters that they don't really want the seven columns going across the page at all. After all, what happens when someone decides that they need the past 14 days rather than the past seven? - the paper won't be wide enough to accomodate this. Or if they decide that in each column they want additional information (order number, line number, and something else)- again, it isn't going to fit. How much better, how much wiser, how much more enlightened to format the output like this: Date Ord # Line # ---- ----- ------ date1 3856 - 12 3954 - 02 3868 - 03 date2 3979 - 01 5496 - 02 3763 - 04 date3 4865 - 11 3956 - 12 - plenty of room to grow. I think it is possible to do what you originally asked in ACE, but it would be quite convoluted. - Paul
