I have just completed a benchmark on Informix-OnLine 8.0 Controlled Release. It was installed here on an MPP machine which has 4 terrabytes of disk space and 175 nodes running 256Mb RAM on each. XPS (Extended Parallel Server) was installed on 166 CoServers and managed a DSS application of circa 1 terrabyte of data (other disk storage was used for mirroring, tmpdbspace and data files). The performance was impressive over a range of SQLs. Consequently, I can say that I am looking forward to working this kind of configuration on a bigger scale.
