Probably once for each source file and once again for linking. It does not, however, invoke the C compiler multiple times in parallel (simultaneously), so unless the licencing system is broken (unlikely), there shouldn't be a problem. I've never experimented with a single user compiler licence, so it is difficult to say what might be going on here... Have you tried compiling a multi-source file C program using make -- eg a public domain program like Perl? If that works, there's no obvious reason why I4GL should fail.
