I hope I didn't hurt their feelings...Every product out there has limitations, including my own...It's just that there's more than one way to do it... It's a tribute I guess to the value of INFORMIX's 4GL that these kinds of products could be engineered in the first place...I don't pay attention to the 'other' data base products out there for this very reason. I think we're going to see more and more of these tool kit products as time goes on. I wish sometimes I could really get a handle on ORACLE's 4GL--they hid it somewhere and I can't seem to find it. I also appreciate the comments as they will prevent me from getting too self important in the global village...I am seriously interested in helping other INFORMIX developers really get their 4GL developement more productive and of a higher quality than I have seen. That's why although the tools aren't free, they are probably in a price range that just about anyone could afford. By providing people with tools that they themselves can customize I am hopefully providing a worthwhile product. It's no trivial task for companies like Windstar and Fourgen to bring these tools to market and they are to be commended greatly for their products. I wish the best of success for them. The quality of their products is a standard to meet or beat... But I will cease here and hunt for that elusive INFORMIX software tool newsgroup... Don't worry, I won't annoy anyone else with the advertising blurbs.. Those folks that would like more info are welcome to get in contact with me... :) Tim
