Well I have seen http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21207941 "If you do not set the device capacity explicitly, the Informix Storage Manager (ISM) will use the default settings based on the device type. Normally, you can use the set_capacity option to set the capacity for a volume while labeling it. However, the set_capacity option is not working when labeling a volume with ism_op command." Affects all ISM versions on all platforms.
