Stuart, Sorry about the confusion on the trim thing. What I was talking about is the trim() function for the SQL select trim(name) from nametable There are some other options that can be added to this to do more like leading trailing or both. But these are documented in the 7.x manuals -- Joseph Cullipher |E-mail: joseph@cannonexpress.com PO Box 364 |opinions express are those of my own and Springdale, AR 72764 USA |don't necessarily reflect those of my company On Fri, 13 Dec 1996, Stuart Knight wrote: } Indeed there is a trim function. } } LET field1 = field2 CLIPPED } } Hope this helps!! } } } Regards } } } Stuart Knight } } } ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ } Subject: Re: need UCASE and TRIM functions } Author: Joseph Cullipher <joseph@cannonexpress.com> at Internet } Date: 13/12/96 12:16 PM } } } There is a trim function in Informix.
