Ya, you have to be careful using -P, -Q and the PDQPRIORITY environment
variable when running dostats when your procedures/functions will be
included in the run. The -P was put there to override the default setting
of PDQPRIORITY in the environment (which one would want high to improve
update statistics performance) so that your SPL is not compiled with a
PDQPRIORITY built in. The idea was that one would always use it as '-P 0',but I know there are some misunderstandings. So I added the -Q to
explicitely set PDQPRIORITY for the sessions in general instead of relying
on the environment var in the hopes that it would point up the need to
include a -P 0 with the -Q 50. It didn't help. Folk still get unexpected
results, so here's a warning for us all to search next year.
