You have to be connected as the owner of the tables when you want to change the access rights. Casper >>> DAA-BW <daa-bw.dv-organisation@t-online.de> 02-09-1998 13:43 >>> Hi all, I have a problem granting rights on tables to a user. I gave this user the connect right ('grant connect to rwlis') and then I tried to give him the chance to use select on a table ('grant select on ort to rwlis'). The last statement just caused an error message telling me that I don't have the grant right or that this is an illegal option for a multi-table view. I also tried to revoke all rights from public and to give the rights to certain users in particular but he even ignored this statement ('revoke all from public; grant all to usera, userb'). Where did I go wrong ? You could either reply to this NG or send an email to daa-bw.dv-organisation@t-online.de Thanx for you help in advance.
