Hi Gurus, I am sendiing this mail in continuation of my earlier mail. I think I have got the solution. Today I had done some updation. I think that time that users process was there. So when update was going on that time it did not make any updation about those users permission. So it was showing that error. Is it right ? My OS is HP-UX 10.20 and Informix ver is 7.30.UC8. Thanks and regards. Sandip Samanta samanta@in.dhl.com
Sandip, don't call this Informix bug. Informix is a very mature product. Your problem can be due to several reasons, like OS to name a few. Do you mean, some table was already using the other table, and was doing an update. Then it would put an lock on the table, and you can't update locked table! So when update was going on that > time it did not make any updation What is updation? Try to remove row level locks, and this problem should go. about those users permission.
