ontape -a log backup to disk
Posted in 1998
Hi All,
I using log_full.sh shell script to backup logical logs
using "ontape -a" command as and when they get filled up.
I opened a case with informix to make sure we can do logical
log rollforward when it is backed up by "ontape -a".
In the following message Informix tech support says that
it cannot be done.
I did the restore and it worked fine, my fear is that if I
encounter any problem informix will not support it.
Can anyone please let me know whether you done
"ontape -a" command to backup logical logs to disk.
If so what all should be taken care of.
