Hi, HP-UX 11.23 IBM IDS 9.40 Is it required to install i4gl compiler to be able to run 4ge programs in a server? We would like the 4gl program to be compiled and run in the development server. Once the program is ok, we will ftp the file to the production server and run. Thus we no need the i4gl in the production server. Is it possible? Else, we have no choice but to install i4gl in the production server also. Thanks in advance.
Angelito You do not need the i4gl compiler to run 4ge programs, however you do need the i4gl runtime environment (and licences !). I assume both servers are similar and running same O/S.
