Problem recovering database (warning)

We recently have a database crash due to a disk problem. We were able to recover most of the data from tape. However, we could not recover any data (two days worth) stored in the logical logs. Further investigation showed that we have accidentally over wrote our logical log files with the "ontape -c" command. Apparently everytime "ontape -c" is started it writes the next log at the BEGINING of the logical log backup file (If you are backing up your log files to disk). We are now performing a level-0 backup each time "ontape -c" is started or the logical log backup file is nulled. Hope no one has to go through the same thing we did. Phuoc Ho
