Intermittent Problem - error 529 Cannot attach to transaction

We have a HP-UX box (Ver 10.20) running Informix Online Dynamic Server Ver 7.13 and a NT Server (NT4.0) running Informix Online Dynamic Server Ver 7.23. We are trying to access some of the database tables resided in the HP-UX box from the NT Server via synonyms. But we faced intermittent problem while trying to access those tables via synonyms - [error -529 Cannot attach to transaction]. Anyone have any clues? Thanks Vivian
