Hello Carl, Thank you for the answer. Is true that: - the same application is working fine on other machine with IDS 9.30 UC2 - the application has to perform prepared statements for insert/update in a loop with different values (sometimes null), get from an input file - in my application, I'm passing strings for DATETIME column Maybe I have now to solutions: - to correct my application and to use the appropriate data types for my host variables - to upgrade the IDS version Best regards, Elena Carl Williams Jr <carljr@us.ibm.com> 10/06/2006 03:59 PM To Elena.Nemtisor@softnet.ro cc Subject Re: IDS 9.40 crash [7584] Hello Elena, Reviewing the diagnostic info collected in AF indicates that you have hit bug #163135 (see below long description). Currently this bug is fixed in 9.40.UC3 and higher versions of the engine. Bug: 163135 EXECUTING A PREPARED STATEMENT WHICH USES A HOST VARIABLE IN A COMPARISON CONDITION WITH AN INTEGER COLUMN CRASHES THE SERVER (9.40 ONLY) Description: The server crashes executing a prepared statement in a loop and passing an empty string to a placeholder variable if the previous and next values are strings which can be casted to numeric values. I could reproduce the problem using ESQL/C and Perl(pssing undef values) on IDS 9.40. It did not reproduce on 9.30.
