I am new to Informix and I have inherited an Informix system 7.20.UC2 on a Compaq Proliant 4000 and Sun OS 5.5.1. The user interface at one time was 4GL 6.03 and now is using NewEra for windows 3.1( I think). I am trying to determine what is needed to make the whole system Y2K compatible. How do I find out if there are still stored procedures from 4GL in use on the system? Is that possible? Upgrades are planned but I need to figure out what to upgrade first! Thanks for your time and help

Is that possible?
You can find out if any stored procedures are in the database via dbaccess.
Choose each database, then use the Tables/Info/Procedures menu selections.
If any names are listed, they are procedures that 4GL might be calling. The
stored procedures might also be called from triggers. The easiest way to
determine if there are any triggers on each database is to check a system
table:
SELECT * FROM systriggers
If any rows show up, make note of the tabid, which you can cross-reference
in systables to determine the affected table.
You then need to identify which of the stored procedures, if any are
executed directly from the NewEra source code, or implicitly via triggers.
Anything left over is a candidate for a "forgotten" SPL from the 4GL
application no longer in use.
