}The INFORMIX-OnLine Dynamic Server 7.1 Tech Brief gives the following figures:
}
}Maximum size of table.........64 terabytes (64,000 gigabytes)
}Maximum number of defined databases per OnLine
} Dynamic Server system.......21 million.
If I am allowed to have 21,000,000 databases in each system, then why
can I only see 100 in isql and dbaccess? Why is this limit in place,
and is it going to go away in future releases?
}Maximum number of defined tables per Online
} Dynamic Server system.......477million
}
} So, theoretically at least, you could have 477 million tables total in your
}database, at 64 terabytes each, as long as you had less than 21 milllion
}individual databases.
}
} In short, if you got the space, the software don't care ;)
}
} I would only worry about query times on a 100 gigabyte table.
