We cannot get Informix 7.1 to initialize shared memory. According to Jeri at Informix Tech Support (do not have the case number handy), there is only one other system running this setup and it is in the UK. We were told we would be the first (perhaps only) production site. Currently, 7.1 is not running and Informix and Stratus have been looking at it for about four weeks. Meanwhile, we went back to Informix 5.01. We received a call from Jeri, on 6/1 informing us that the problem has been pushed from mission critical and into Menlo Park with out a timetable for resolution. BTW... Have you installed any patches to your FTX 2.3? We have installed two sets that fix performance problems with the serial ports and memory allocation leaks. Good Luck!! --terry
