Triggers?

The following trigger definition in Informix 7.2x On-Line Server, produces a runtime error: create trigger xxxxx insert on tab1 after (update tab1 set col1 = "blah blah" ) I read in Error Messages manual that you can't have SQL statement that acts on the triggering table. It also doesn't work if you replace the SQL with EXECUTE PROCEDURE . Can anybody tell me if there is a way to override this situation. (drop dead is not an answer) Thanks, reply to pxeros@teemail.gr
