IDS 9.40 3rd party database queries w/Enterprise Gateway

All, I'm reviewing the documentation from the IDS 9.40 announcement and it mentions queries across third-party databases using Enterprise Gateway. Does anyone know or has anyone used Enterprise Gateway to connect to MS SQL (ugh, don't worry I hate to have to mention it)? I have used MS SQL linked servers(OLE DB) to query informix but I would like the ability to go from informix back to MS SQL.. Thanks Darren
