Hi
I am getting this errror message while trying to run the below query
select * from sysprocedures.
but when i ran a specific procedure name it ran fine e.g.
select * fom sysprocedures where procname = "trace_sw"
i am on IDSv7.3 and Linux.
problem here is how do i know which procedure is causing this problem ?
regards

Actually i was running DBSCHEMA utility , but it did not give m any
procedure schema ?
so i tried the below query , which failed also with error 403 and error
message as below.
P.S. I read the comments in some forum to use another utility "myschema".
But the thing is for some procedures dbschema is working in the same
database. Why not for all. How to identify which one is causing problem?
Thanks

My myschema utility is part of the package utils2_ak which you can download
from
the IIUG Software Repository. However, neither dbschema nor myschema will
print out the definitions of procedures marked as system procedures (there are
a
few that are part of every database in 9.xx+, 7.xx only has one in most
databases that being the procedure systdist()). However, if the 'missing'
procedures are yours, I agree that they should be printing out.
The -403 error is an odd one. I would suspect a mismatch between the runtime
libraries and the utilities versions. I'll assume that by IDS7.3 you mean IDS
7.31.xxx something. What version of the CSDK or Informix Client do you have
installed? There may be a compatibility problem between the SDK/Client runtime
libs and the IDS tools versions (though dbschema and dbaccess are usually
static
linked so that is not normally a problem).
Have you tried querying the sysprocedures table using Jonathan Leffler's sqlcmd
package? Does it get the same error?
