I have recently converted from SE 3.x to 5.0. I have gone to a client/server architecture. All PCs use Windows 3.1. When the PC boots the user must log into the network using PC-NFS 5.0. Then the REMSQL is executed. Again, name and password are required. I don't like putting the user name and password in the AUTOEXEC file. However, one cannont execute REMSQL from Windows. I don't want my users seeing a DOS prompt. I don't want passwords in files. I don't want them to essentially log into the same server twice. If a user wants to leave their desk, they must turn their PC off to secure data from unwanted access?!?!?!? Any comments, solutions.
