Loading into Shared Memory...

No, you don't have explicit control over what is in the shared memory buffers. Informix manages the buffers based on a 'least recently used' (LRU) scheme that keeps in memory data it expects to be used again and flushes what is not. Starting with 7.3+, the syntax is: SET TABLE <tablename> MEMORY_RESIDENT Please remember that if you want this table in memory ALL the time, you will need to remember to re-execute the syntax each time you recycle the instance.
