Please reply by >email if you would like more information. HA! Assigning of permissions by group was a standard feature of Informix 3.30.12, a pre-SQL product on which I cut my teeth. I must say I missed it when I moved to ISQL. Another nice feature of the old product was an interactive UPDATE sql command, which retrieved each record in turn and asked if you wanted to update it or not. This doesn't exist in I-SQL 2.10.03 (Alan Popiel isn't the only one using an ancient product!) Does it exist in 4GL or any of the later products?
