IDS 9.40 on windows stops working
Hi all, We now have installed IDS 9.40 on Windows XP. When I put connect the standalone pc on a network, the database engine does not respond anymore. I need to do a restart of the service to work with the engine again. I have the same situation when I started our application with a network connection and then disconnect the laptop from the network. Again a restart of the database engine is needed to continue working. As anybody had the same? Is there a solution for this? Thanks, Danny
If you want to use IDS only on your one local laptop (PC), you can edit SetNet32 and set CurrentHost and Hostname to "localhost". On this way, Informix server will not be visible to other in network, but will survive plug/unplug ethernet cable ...
