We are running Informix Version 2.1V under SInix on a MX500. We have the following problems: 1. Our database has 335 tables. While attempting to creatr the 350th table we encouter an error with the following message 312: Cannot update system catalog (systables)22: Invalid argument For the above problem, we propose to undertake the following solution. Load the old system catalogs and carry out a system update. The question we have is whetehr the current status be restored with respect to the current systam catalogs. Will the above action have any side effect. We would like to iform you that no new tables have been created since the date from which th old system catalogs have been restored. The second query is as follows: The database is used in an multiuser environment. In one of the users .profile file the update statistics command is executed, will it generate any inconsistency in the database. Thaking you in anticiaption of the answers.
