Accesing date types via ODBC in VB4 (16bits)

Hello. When retrieving columns from a select sentence via ODBC, all i get is dates in a strnage format, e.g. 12/11/1111 3:45 when the row stores a datetime value of 6:25. How can I get the correct time value? I'm using Intersolv ODBC driver for Informix 5. I use a Recordset to obtain the rows from de table. TIA.
