include host-variables

Sorry if I bother you again, but so far I didn`t get a response on my question, I posted a few days ago. Since we also got our workstations upgraded and had a few problems with mailing for some days, I decided to give it another try. IMHO it should be a very trivial question for those who did programm in esql-c. So here it is again: How can we include host-variable-header-files from another directory in esql-c? We divided our project into several subdirectories top I +--------+------+------+ gen inf40 incl server In the "inf40"-subdir are the esql-c files. The "incl"-subdir should be the place for all include-files. So far we couldn't get it to work with our esql-specific include-files (structure-definitions for database-tables, host-variables and so on). As a workaround we linked these include-files into the inf40-subdir. Is there really no way to leave database-specific-include-files in the "incl"-subdir and include them from there. (We are running INFORMIX 4GL version 4). Any hints appreciated Klaus Rehm c0922@rrzc1.rz.uni-regensburg.de
