There are still many of us who don't need the scaleability of 7.X and are content "holding onto" 5.X. At the '95 Informix conference, many people I talked to felt as if Informix was focusing the VLDB customers with all the 6.X and 7.X features, and not on those who didn't need to exploit SMP or MPP technology.
