Applets and JDBC

Deal All, I'm using IUS 9.13 and JDBC driver 1.40. My client applet run on a local file system on NT machine and the database server is running on a UNIX machine. My problem is when I am running applets with appletviewer on JDK 1.1.6 it works fine. However, When I change it to JDK 1.2 it does not work (security problem:access denied). How can I set up the JDBC 1.2 in order to get my applets working? Thanks in advance, Claudio.
