So I'm out of the race. Well I'll just have to raise hell in public in front of Oracle/MSSQL. ---Like there isn't any of that already going on. So what the fuck is IBM doing about marketing Informix? ---Nothing Why are there no advert in the Financial Times? Oracle do! ---That cost too much No full page Informix spreads in Computer Weekly? ---Again, cost too much Why are the IIUG not publicly kicking IBM over this? ---Does, "never bite the hand that feeds you" ring a bell...? Where are the offical IIUG posting on this? What are they doing? Fuck all? ---You've asked 3 questions here. 1. Cost too much. 2. They are going to Rio 3. ok, who do I start with? Carlton told us about Informix wins (a certain famous networking company) but I'm being told to keep quiet? ---They told you to keep quiet and you did??? A certain telephone switch manufacturer but again I'm asked to keep quiet. Can IIUG chase IBM on this for me? And I want to hear the response in public...here. ---Cost too much And the big Euro 2006 (or whatever soccer event). IBM will have chips in the ball and players boots and realtime tracking all via an IDS database. Where is the publicity that IBM beat (who?) to this? That was mentioned at the UK Usergroup meeting but we were not asked by Michelle to keep quiet about it! ---Cost too much Can the IIUG ask IBM about this? Where is the publicity for IDS? ---Cost too much Don't give me crap about IBM not publishing product marketing..what about DB2 that is a product and is being marketed! ---It's call a brand sending to informix-list
