I found it! http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/idshelp/v10/index.jsp sentence one. There is NO Informix, just a member? of the "DB2" family... With due respects to Ms. Christine Normile, of course. Scott MacKenzie - scottm at dinecollege.edu

"DB2 Information Management Software division of the IBM Software Group." Where does it talk about family? The text is using the name of the _division_ at the time the document was created. This topic has been debated at length and it has been noted that the division has been renamed in 2006. Also note that docs need to go through translation. This not simply about updating a web-page. "This topic has been debated at length and it has been noted that the division has been renamed in 2006." At the Informix conference in Atlanta they were telling me it was going to be called just "Information Management". How has the DB2 bit slipped in again? Why has the website STILL not be fixed it is March now?! Where is the free version of IDS to go with the free version of DB2? Why has the platform availability spreadsheet STILL not been updated? It is still dated 2005.
