Help: Client-Server using Informix on PCs?

Hi, I'am trying to setup an Informix client-server solution using the following configuration: Server: PC running (and holding) an Informix database Client: PCs running Windows and running a custom application Network: Windows for workgroups Questions: 1. What type of Informix database (SE/On-line) do I need? 2. Will the database be able to monitor multi-user access? (If an SE engine is used, the database is stored as a set of files under a database.dbs directory. File sharing alone is not enough as the engine also has to do monitoring.) I have got conflicting replies from Informix as to whether one can do multi-user client-server applications on a network of PCs. I am aware that a Novell solution exists (using an Informix NLM) but that option is not available to me. I am from the Online/Unix world, with no experience working with Informix on a PC.
