ESQLC : SQLCODE -404 at declare statement

Hi, Environment : HPUX 10.20 ESQLC 7.22.UC1 SE 7.22.UC1 GNU g++ 2.7.2.1 I am using a small function in an shared library since months very well, but now I'll use it with a little bit bigger program and I get an SQLCODE -404 at an declare statement !? Example code : ... $declare abc cursor for select ... for update; --- gets error -404 !!!!????? why ? $open abc; if (SQLCODE==0) { $fetch abc into $xyz,... ... $update ... where current of abc; } $close abc; $free abc; It works very fine over months with small programs. But with a bigger program ??? Why ? TIA Dirk Niemeier
