I-SQL, I-4GL or both?

It probably depends on what ->one will do with it: generating applications, ad hoc queries,... Well, nowadays... Informix's new product DBACCESS comes with your engine instead if the old-fashioned ISQL. DBACCESS gives you several of the same functions as ISQL: Query-Language, Database, and Table - basically the stuff you need to maintain your database. ISQL additionally gives you: Form, Report, and User-Menu. So you're right, it does depend on if you have any use for these features. We use ACE reports for lots of ad-hoc reports, so it is worth it to us to have it. ->Thanks for comments. -> -> Martin Berli Your welcome....
