Cursor positioning WHILE in INPUT ARRAY (help)
Posted in 1993
Okay all you Informix gurus/hackers, I have a need to position the cursor while within an INPUT ARRAY statement, i.e. from the BEFORE ROW control block. Since, at least in my version, I cannot get WORDWRAP to work in an array situation (seems to hit some kind of infinate loop, and application must be killed), I am manually trying to do the WORDWRAP in the AFTER ROW and BEFORE ROW control blocks of the INPUT ARRAY statement. Through substring manipulation/checking, I have gotten as far as actually wrapping the incomplete word to the next line...however, the cursor appears at the beginning of that line, at the start of the wrapped word. Obviously, not of much use as is. So, thru manipulation of internal informix variables to position the cursor after the wrapped word, or by simply stuffing the word into the keyboard buffer (?), or some other solution, I need to complete this task.
