I encountered the same problem a year ago on IDS 7.31.UC2 - One rogue query can blow the stack size and crash the engine... not good on a production system. IMHO, exceeding the stack size shouldn't crash the engine, just terminate the session.

STACKSIZE is already configured to 64K. That is the configuration that
failed.
