If anyone has an official name and >serial number for this manual, I would really appreciate it! Well, it used to exist with version 4.00 and 4.10. With version 5.00, it vanished, so I guess both parties are right and wrong, even if neither is very helpful. Assuming that you are thinking of using them in ESQL/C, I would suggest you consider "Informix-ESQL/C Programmer's Manual" Version 5.0, Dec 1991, Part No 000-7108. As far as I am aware this is still available. Chapter 6 has a description of how to use blobs. If you want more general information, consider "Informix Guide to SQL Reference", Dec 1991, Part No 000-7118, "Informix Guide to SQL Tutorial", Dec 1991, Part No 000-7117, and "Informix-OnLine Adminstrator's Guide", Version 5.0, Dec 1991, Part No 000-7106. Again, as far as I am aware, all these are still available. If you purchase almost any Informix 5.00 product, the Guide to SQL books will come with it. I dug the part numbers out the copies on my desk, so I think they're OK. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@obelix.informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h>
