You know point and click, graphics e.g. fonts in Word, piecharts, graphs etc. WYSIWYG.. X Terminals have been around for a long time. It's just that when they first came out they were too expensive. Now the hardware is cheap, everyone has forgottena about X Terminals allowing MIcro$oft to grab mindshare... Of course, now people want everything run of the server new products l like Citrix have come along. Microsoft recently bought Citrix to replace Hydra. It is basically a client/server protocol where most of the software runs on the server and just the display runs on the client. Gee! Sounds like X-Windows to me, just X-Windows has been around much longer and is more mature!! >developed on for years.
