INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST IV (DATABASE) EXEMPT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY SALARY RANGE: $43,638 - $64,708 We are seeking a senior level Information Systems Analyst IV with significant experience in a DBA support role on MVS and UNIX platforms (experience on Novell or NT is a plus). Work includes database design and definition, application development support, performance monitoring and tuning, integrity assurance and recovery; participating in design reviews and providing guidance and training relative to database technology to applications personnel; and performing configuration, maintenance, and support of database system software. Strong capabilities in the following areas are needed: planning, supervising technical subordinates, systems support procedures, automation via utilities or scripts, problem tracking and resolution, writing system documentation, communicating pertinent information to departments and user community, and interfacing with vendors for problem resolution. This is a hands-on position and the candidate must be willing to accept new assignments, take the initiative in improving the existing systems support structure, and provide direction for future projects. Performs related work as required. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in computer science or related field; and six (6) years experience in database administration and support; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
