Is there any special reason for it because you will not be able to load= it back using IBM Informix utilities in default mode. Still in IDS you can write HPL custom functions to do the data manupula= tion while loading/unloading. Also depending on your need, I can suggest you better solutions using H= PL. In HPL you can change the control character to NULL instead of backslas= h etc. Thanks, Pravin. = "Matt" = <nospam@nospam.ne = t> = To Sent by: informix-list@iiug.org = owner-informix-li = cc st@iiug.org = Subj= ect Unloading data with embedded = 06/21/2004 11:11 backslash characters in CHAR = AM columns = = = Please respond to = "Matt" = = = If a CHAR column has an embedded backslash character then an additional= backslash character is inserted immeditaely before the original backsla= sh character in the output produced when using an UNLOAD statement or the = High Performance Loader.
