File size limitations using Redhat 8.0

I'm
running IDS 9.20 and 9.3 on Redhat 8.0 servers and cannot import or load
a file larger than 2 Giga Bytes into a database, I get a file size limit
exceeded error. The operating system can handle unlimited file sizes but
there seems to be a 2 GB limit on any file that Informix tries to work with,
even with the ontape command.
Any known work around?

Upgrade to 9.40 -- it has large file support (and large chunk support).
