Unloading BLOB data to Excel CSV file

Greatings, I am trying to extract data from a table that includes a TEXT BLOB column. The objective is to have each row from the database reside in one row in Excel. The BLOB data has CRs, and Quotes (") within the text. Excel wants to have an opening Quote and a trailing Quote to enclose the BLOB text, and any existing Quotes presented as "". I've played around with manipulating the BLOB file (LOCATE IN FILE xx) by removing the quotes from the file, but it does not always work with multiple rows being returned. When I do this, a single BLOB ends up being repeated for multiple rows, which is not valid. Who can direct me to the most direct approach to achieve the objective?
