Too true. Even when they explicitly recognized the problem, they couldn't
execute in marketing. Remember that V.P. a few years ago. At one of the
Informix User Conferences (Seattle, I think) she mentioned Informix's past
marketing weakness, and said they were about to "pick up the megaphone".
But, that was also the time of "the one with the smartest data wins".
...Guess I'm glad they left their megaphone on the floor. ...Or wherever
they had put it.
